Two Women:
Sexualidad y Mística de lo Femenino

We are presenting work done over the past four years. Four years though of a much longer self-imposed period of seclusion in the city of New York, filled with self-reflection and deep transformation.

This work is the artistic manifestation of some crucial conclusions that became of vital importance to us through our very personal experience. One of them speaks of the absolute need for society to recuperate and restore the value of the Feminine in its inner workings. Even more, the values of the Feminine should be brought to light in the inner recesses of the mind.

The Feminine we are talking about transcends the common idea of sex or gender division. It’s a principle, equally present in Women and Men, equally present and unique to all of us, as the air we breathe. Nonetheless, it should be acknowledge that in a society, in a collective mind system where the Feminine (the intuitive, the creative, the emotional, the psychological, etc.) is feared and looked upon with contempt, the trend is to nullify women first, as the strongest symbol of the Feminine, but it doesn’t end there. The feminine, when suppressed affects humanity as a whole, without distinctions. The absence of the Feminine, its derogation, produces a lack of equilibrium, and that produces insanity leaving humanity unfulfilled, lost and suicidal.

To summarize, our lives and work are the result of a fierce and silent fight towards the recovering of our (sanity) identity, the Feminine, as a birthright. We are also leaving behind an artistic testimony, the sublimation of such fight. A fight that from our experience is quintessential to all, Men and Women. To all desiring to see an end to the violent and destructive tendencies pervading the human mind, and the human collectivity.
