Series 12:
Transparencies or The world of what’s subtle.
2000- 2001

To begin with, although the intention was clear, i.e. penetrating the content of the mind, the images came “veiled”, unrecognized, like remote beings or situations. The start of this series coincided with the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center towers in New York and I remember that the theme of violence, in this case of the two sides
involved, one inspired by fanaticism and envy, the other by the abuses of power, were permanently in my thoughts. They were images on paper and on canvas, working the transparency, with the desire to penetrate subtle, not totally familiar psychological worlds. Very varied media.
